The Niagara Frontier Orchid Society seeks to promote the culture and enjoyment of orchids, and aims to further every member's orchid related knowledge. We are dedicated to encourage the Protection of orchids and encourage their conservation in natural habitats around the world. We will help you become a better orchid grower!
Meetings are held the first Tuesday after the first Sunday of the month (except July and August) 6:00 p.m. at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14218 Administration Building Guests are always welcome!
Yearly Dues are $15 individual $20 family
Monthly programs include guest speakers, videotapes, slide presentations or other activities. Group discussions are held on plant culture, blooming, breeding and displaying orchids. A club library is maintained, which includes books, videotapes and magazines for the enjoyment of club members. At every meeting there is a show table where members are encouraged to bring their plants and display them, for the enjoyment and education of the other members. We have frequent plant sales, auctions and raffles. Members often bring plants to trade or share, a great way to increase a collection. Other activities include shows, exhibits and displays, plant auctions, social gatherings, and trips to orchid growers and vendors.
Each month a newsletter is sent to members. This includes articles on our hobby and information about our meetings and upcoming events.
